The easyRESCUE-DIVE-PRO is a small portable AIS SART unit worn on the dive vest.

Routine Use

The unit of each member of the diving group will be activated at the start of the dive.  Whilst on the surface, updated position reports will be send by each unit and received by the diving boat or diving centre; this allows the whole dive group to be tracked.

In an emergency, the AIS SART function may be activated on the water surface by the touch of a button.

The easyRESCUE-DIVE-PRO contains a GPS receiver which will fix the diver’s position within 35 seconds after activation.  In addition to the GPS position, which is updated every minute, Course Over Ground (COG) and Speed Over Ground (SOG) information is transmitted as well as the specific unit’s ID.

These data will be received by every AIS-equipped vessel in the vicinity (including the dive boat). Radiation range depends on the height of the receiving antenna but ranges of 10 nautical miles or more are possible.

To use the unit in an emergency just extend the antenna and press the ‘Alert’ button.  To maximise transmission range, raise the unit as high as possible out of the water or, better still, use in conjunction with the ALERT BUOY.
